The discount retail chain awarded Howard R. Levine in base salary and a performance based bonus of . The Charlotte N.C. based company granted Levine restricted stock and option awards that had an estimated value of . million on the days they were awarded. Levine also received in other compensation which included the cost of his personal use of company aircraft insurance premiums and contributions to his k plan and medical expense reimbursement program. Associated Press calculations of total pay include executives salary bonus incentives perks above market returns on deferred compensation and the estimated value of stock options and awards granted during the year. The calculations don t include changes in the present value of pension benefits and may differ from totals supplied by companies. Separate from his annual compensation Levine realized on vesting stock awards. Famil! y Dollar is expected to release same store sales for the month of November on Thursday. Same store sales or sales at stores open at least a year is a key measure of retailer performance because it measures growth at existing stores rather than from newly opened ones.
